Access points have parking, bike racks and restrooms, and they and the trail are well lit.

In 2014, the first phase of the trail opened. The 12-foot-wide pavement guides you through palm trees, scrubland and pine flat-woods with elevated boardwalk sections spread out over wetlands. From the boardwalks, you can watch the wildlife in its natural habitat.
